Robinson O. Everett Prize 2008 We are pleased to announce the First Annual Robinson O. Everett Prize for the best online teaching portfolio was won by
Dr. Cathy Dyches
a faculty member and Coordinator for the RN Program in the School of Nursing
at Clemson University, in Clemson, SC.
Conference Events
Invited talks, papers, posters, panels and tutorials will take place on Wednesday
through Friday April 22-24. The Conference encourages the submission of:
Research papers (30 minute presentation)
Workshops (75-90 minutes)
Panel discussions (60-75 minutes)
Presentation sessions (30-45 minutes)
Posters (presented in a group poster session)
examining the impact of SoTL in these areas. Submissions should emphasize the use of both technology and active learning techniques in teaching, and the improvement they can and will make in learning.
Presentation Formats
All submissions are to be made through our online submission system:
Presentation proposals should describe the nature of the SoTL issue and its applications. (Maximum proposal length, 250 words)
Workshop proposals should discuss the subject to be presented and briefly describe any featured activities for the participants. (Maximum proposal length, 250 words)
Panel discussion proposals should discuss the subject to be discussed, and identify a session leader and featured discussants. (Maximum proposal length, 250 words)
Poster presentation proposals should describe the nature of the SoTL issue and its applications. Accepted posters will consist of twelve PowerPoint slides, mounted. (Maximum proposal length, 250 words)
Research papers are limited to 5,000 words, and will be available in PDF format for conference attendees. Work in progress may be submitted as an extended abstract (minimum 500 words), with papers to be distributed as part of the conference proceedings.
